Behind the Lens
Our first day of shooting on the breathtaking island of Folegandros began in the pre-dawn hours at the luxurious Gundari Hotel. This exclusive retreat, known for its 80 acres of breathtaking rugged beauty, is found on a secluded part of the island, providing the perfect backdrop for our morning shoot.
Hair and makeup prep kicked off with an extraordinary creative crew. We aimed for a look that felt raw, natural, and slightly untamed—capturing a spirit that perfectly reflects the inspiration behind the entire collection. As the sun climbed higher, scenes were captured against the hotel's stunning ocean vistas.
After a short lunch break, the team reconvened at 4 pm for the day’s second location: the iconic Church of Panagia. Perched atop a cliff and accessible via its famous zigzag path, this location offered a dramatic setting for our evening shoot. The team continued shooting until late, making the most of the incredible sunset.
As the sun began its descent, it bathed the scene in a warm, golden light that highlighted the intricate embroidery and fabrics. Positioned at the island's prime spot to witness the iconic Greek sunset, the team worked to keep pedestrians back while capturing stunning drone footage of the scene. By the end of day one, exhausted but exhilarated, everyone knew that something truly special had been captured—a sense of authentic, raw luxury.

For one particular shot, the team crossed through the shallow waters, carefully balancing the gowns and equipment on their heads, to reach the perfect location against the backdrop of the shimmering ocean. After a morning of shooting, the team enjoyed pizza by the water before finishing the shoot at sunset back on Gundari's dramatic cliff edge.
